  • Formirano crno vino, boja mu je fina crvena.Podrijetlom iz Burgundije, vrlo rašireno.Ova sorta nastala je križanjem crvenog traminca i schwarzrizlinga.
  • U starijoj literaturi zapisano je da rodi malo (oko 30 do 40 hl/ha), ali da kakvoćom mošta i vina taj nedostatak obilno vraća.
  • U dobrim godinama ponekad ima i do 8 g/l neprevrela šećera, pa kao takvo spada u skupinu polusuhih vina.
  • Dobro se slaže s jelima od tamnog mesa i divljači. Vrlo je pitko uz kuhano meso, čak uz piletinu, dobro zasoljenu pečenu patku ili gusku. Traži pikantne umake i zrele sireve.

  • Fits well with dishes of red meat and wild birds. It is very smooth with cooked meat, even the chicken, well salted roasted duck or goose. It is good combined with spicy sauces and mature cheeses.
